Cuban Style Chicken Bowl (Meal Prep Hack!)

Trader Joe’s Cuban-style bowl from is already packed with bold citrus-garlic flavor, but with a few simple add-ons, it becomes even better.
We’ve added chicken for protein, fire roasted bell peppers & onions for extra fiber, avocado for healthy fats, and cilantro for a bright, herby finishing touch.
Adding fresh ingredients to a favorite TJ’s frozen item keeps things simple while still giving you a balanced, satisfying meal. Plus, it makes two servings so you can save one for tomorrow! This method helps you stay consistent without overthinking it.

Makes 2 servings
All ingredients purchased @ Trader Joe's
Ingredients:
- 1 package Cuban Style Citrus Garlic Bowl (frozen)
- 1 package Fire Roasted Bell Peppers & Onions (frozen)a
- ½ package (6 oz.) Grilled Chicken Breast
- 1 avocado
- handful of fresh cilantro (optional)
Directions:
- Lightly spray a pan with oil and preheat on medium. Add the Fire Roasted Bell Peppers & Onions and cook about 3 minutes.
- Add the grilled chicken and sauté another minute.
- Push the veggies and chicken to the side, and add the Cuban Style Citrus Garlic Bowl. Cover and cook 3–5 more minutes.
- Remove the lid, reduce heat, and stir gently until all ingredients are heated through, about 3 minutes.
- Divide into two equal portions. If cooking for just yourself, store the second portion in the fridge to enjoy tomorrow.
- When ready to eat, top each serving with ½ avocado and optional cilantro.
