Spicy Lemonade Cocktail

 

Here at Healthy Eating at Trader Joe’s we believe nothing is off limits! Even if you’re on a weight loss journey, it’s okay to enjoy a cocktail once in a while.

This delicious summer cocktail is quick & easy to make.

Most pre-made lemonades are loaded with sugar and other artificial ingredients. But Trader Joe’s Low Calorie Lemonade is made with cane sugar and stevia, and doesn’t contain any dyes. Plus, an 8-ounce serving has only 40 calories and 9 grams of sugar.

This lemonade is light, refreshing, and tart. You can enjoy it on its own without alcohol or follow the recipe below for a zesty cocktail with a kick!

Makes 1 serving
All ingredients purchased @ Trader Joe's

 

Ingredients:

  • handful of ice
  • 1 ounce vodka (or gin or tequila)
  • 4 ounces Organic Low Calorie Lemonade
  • splash of sparkling water
  • ¼ jalapeño, sliced

 

Directions:

  1. Place a handful of ice in a glass.

  2. Add the alcohol & Lemonade. Stir well.

  3. Top it off with a splash of sparkling water and garnish with several jalapeño slices. Enjoy!
